I remember, during my college days, I never liked to be late for class. I always used to be on time with everything.
I would start from home, Me and my friends, we would park our cycles at bus stand. As our father were bus conductor, we knew where to park our cycles, so we would park and go to college by foot.
And then on our way, we would have fun. No matter whether it was bright, hot summer or whether It was raining or whether it was cold, winter day, we always preferred going by walk…
On our way, we used to eat Hariyanvi Jilebi, or at times we would have msst chai, or Samosa, I don’t like Samosa, so I used to prefer chai or Jilebi.
We were better at driving our cycles super slow, whenever we had cycles with us, we used to drive them between the traffic. We could drive it however we wanted.
I would go first, and then the other one would follow me in the traffic and we would form the whole row of ants following each other..Hahha
In between we would keep saying ‘hi’ to him, ‘bye’ to them etc.
One of the funniest thing was when we were riding and we had truck full of sugarcane in front of us. Wooww !!! That truck usually goes super slow so we would drive our cycles by the driver cabin, would get his permission to take some sugar canes and the other ones at the back would take those out.
We would then find some sweet spot in our botanical garden and would enjoy eating those there.
I remember, out maths teacher used to take attendance and only member to be present in the class from our friend circle, used to be me. Our teach would call out names of students and would mark then ‘P’ for present and ‘A’ for absent on his sheet.
Suddenly, one day he mentioned that he would fail all the students whose attendance does not match at least 60% of the overall.
I was okay but others were not … me being a member in our friend circle, I had to coordinate with them. So …
Don’t judge me but that’s what we were. We had a plan. We were almost 6-7 in total, so we got scattered on the entrances of all the stairs, we decided that we would start talking if someone comes in between, especially the maths teacher…so that we know that someone is coming.
We waited for evening, we got scattered, one of us went into our sir’s cabin and took out the attendance sheet.. and you know what ?
He did not just corrected his attendance, he filled all the empty square in there with ‘P’s’ 🤣.
It wasn’t that we would correct the attendance, we would get caught if we do that because our maths teacher knew who used to be in the class. So the motive was to make it useless with all ‘P’s’ everywhere. .. hahahaha
And it worked. No one accepted who did that and finally he had to take an exam to give us marks. We did all the fun but we always made sure that as much fun as we have, we equally do all our study.
So taking maths exam helped a lot than attendance 😉.
Trust me I wasn’t one of them but there were some who would attend our computer class just because our teacher looked beautiful. They would just attend that particular class and would go back home. 😆
And that mam would come to me and would take my notes for other classes. I remember, the last record before me in the college for the computer class was 182/200 marks. I broke it and my record was 192/200 marks. It is not broken yet 🤠.
Don’t take this as self-admiration, just wanted to share with the topic …
