One day, I came home from school, my mom and my aunt, they were talking something. While I changed my cloths, I heard my mom saying “Mazya zopech khobr zall”, which is idiom in Marathi which is used when you want to say that “you could not sleep for some reason” and I did not know that.
Word “khobr” in Marathi means Coconut. I always thought that as Coconut is good, I mean almost everyone likes it, there’s nothing bad tied to the word “Khobr”, so I thought when someone said, “Mazya zopech khobr zall”, for me, it meant that “You had good sleep”. Hahaha.
I genuinely believed the same that “Mazya zopech khobr zall” means “One had a good sleep”. Hahaha!!!
There’s one more thing I always had a conflict with. I never understood what did the expiry warning of any product meant.
I’m talking about “Best before X months from the date of manufacturing”. I always thought how could a product be best to use “before” X months from the date of manufacturing 😕. It should expire after X months from the date of manufacturing right???
Like read this again… “Best before X months from the date of manufacturing”.
Hahaha … Childhood memories…
